Mothers Day Plaques

I decided to make an extra special little gift for the mums this year and saw this idea on a Create and Craft Joanna Sheen show with Jo Channon. I adapted it to use items I had and this is the result. I was really pleased with them.

Sorry for not posting for a while. I have been busy crafting for Mothers Day and various birthdays.
The Mothers Day cards caused me some problems as I wanted them to be perfect but couldn't quite get them right! In the end I was very happy with them! Here are the cards

Update on Polka Doodles Challenge

As you will see in an earlier post I entered the Polka Doodles Spots & Stripes Challenge and was delighted to find that I came 2nd!! It was my first ever blog challenge so I was over the moon! Now I just need to enter more challenges!!

Excitement!!

This evenings crafting didn't go quite to plan so in the end I decided to stop and come back to it tomorrow. I was feeling pretty down as recently I've been on a bit of a roll so was delighted to get a phone call from my mother in law asking me to make a 60th cars for a work colleague of hers!!
It's my first ever commission and I am so excited!! Very nervous too but looking forward to the challenge!!
Fingers crossed I will do a good job for her!!
I'll let you know how I get on!!

Dawn Bibby Flower Patch Cards

I managed to make a few more cards from the Flower Patch collection today. It's a lovely bright kit and makes making quick but lovely cards very simple!
Usually when I use kits I spend ages trying to decide if I should use certain elements just in case I might need them for another card but today I just went for it and I'm very happy with the result!

Polka Doodles Spots & Stripes Challenge Card

I entered my first challenge last month on the Polka Doodles Facebook site and thought I would try another.
This weeks challenge was to use Polka Dots, Stripes or both.
The Papers are from the Pen and Paper Circle issue 1 and the image is their new Bee Happy download.

Hello, heres a quick card I made last night using the new Polka Doodles Bee Happy download and papers from the Pen and Paper Circle Kit they launched recently.

Polka Doodles Candy Doodles Collectors Edition

Well my Candy Doodles Collectors Edition was collected from the post office on thursday morning. It's fab just like all the other Polka Doodles CDs!! Here's my first two cards

Although I have been papercrafting for a few years now it was only in about June time last year that I decided to try cd crafting.
My first purchase was the Polka Doodles Magical Winter Multibuy! Well, that then led onto Paper Boutique 1 & 2, which led onto Pretty Sweet, which led onto Pretty Tuff & Sundae of Seasons, which led onto Paper Boutique 3 and Double Sprinkles of Kraft which has led onto Candy Doodles Collectors Edition which is due to drop through my door any day now!!
It's safe to say that I love Polka Doodles products!! I also love the gallery on the website which is fab for getting ideas and recently I have discovered the Polka Doodles Facebook page which is great also!
Anyway here are some of the cards I have made so far.

This year my New Year Resolutions were to eat less and craft more!!
So far I have stuck to one of those only!!!

Anniversary Card

Here's a quick card I made last night for my brother in law & sister in law's wedding anniversary.
8x8 card blank with Matt silver card and silver mirri card. Words are from Kanban.
Quick, easy and simple but I like it!

Baby Giraffes

Yesterday we gave the kids a choice whether to go swimming Or to the zoo to see the new baby giraffe. Well the zoo won out so after an early lunch we headed down to Marwell zoo near Winchester.
We love it down there so much we have invested in annual passes for the past few years. Until today we were considering whether to renew them or not but seeing the kids reactions again made us realise it's definitely worth te money! They love it so much and having the annual pass means even popping down for a couple of hours is worth it!
